QuizSnap is built so you can play instantly without giving us anything personal. This policy explains the small bits of data we do touch, why, and how to make us stop.

What we store about you

• Anonymous play data. When you take a quiz, we save which questions you answered and whether you got them right, tied to a random ID stored in your browser as a cookie called quizsnap_uid. We do not know who you are.
• Display name (only if you set one). The leaderboard page lets you type a display name. That name is shown publicly on leaderboards. If you don't set one, you appear as “Player <short id>”.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for spam and abuse prevention. We do not link these to your play data.

Cookies we set

• quizsnap_uid — random ID used to save your scores across visits. Set when you first land. Expires after 2 years.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which topics and quizzes people play. GA4 uses cookies and collects standard data (page views, referrer, country, device type). We have IP anonymization turned on. We do not run advertising or remarketing through GA4.

You can opt out by using a browser with tracker blocking, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not require you to create an account or give us an email to play.
• We do not show ads on this site.
• We do not track you across other sites.

If you give us an email

If we add email features later (streaks, weekly recap, account login), we will only email you with what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe in any email. We will not share your email with third parties.

Children

QuizSnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your rights

You can clear all locally-saved scores at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site. For server-side deletion of any saved account, score, or display name, email us via the contact page.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
